I work for a major oil company. I took about a year of school where I didn't really learn anything. Now I get paid extremely well at a job where I don't really do anything.
I work for a major oil company. I took about a year of school where I didn't really learn anything...
Do you think it’s possible to still get a job like that?
are you hiring
Absolutely it is.
You sound expendable.
How do?
As a matter of fact, we are haha.
You are correct.
yeah apparently that is how this entire gay earth works, which is why no one should ever have imposter syndrome, everyone is an imposter; 20% of people do 80% of the work, everyone else just coasts, try not to be in the 20% you won't get paid extra for it.
>at a job where I don't really do anything
this is the best
lost mine cuz of covid but i had a really nice lazy desk job for a few years there where I got $20/hr to literally just sip a beer or two, watch some netflix and answer the phone maybe twice a shift.
Which part? Be specific and I'll answer honestly.
different guy
how can I acquire such power
same, but i do accounting. Zero education background, but I get paid 70k from 8yrs in the army reserve (only drilling with a 6 with a unit) where i made it to sergeant E-5 in the finance corps. I basically enter credit card transactions into Quickbooks Online for 8hrs in jeans from my office mon-fri. I might take a nap after lunch again tomorrow. Protip - don't have kids or fall for the marriage trap.
Isn't it awesome? haha I love it.
hook me up
Be strategic in picking some mildly challenging post secondary education and then apply for positions you aren't really qualified for. It actually works out eventually.
Great to see those high gas prices going to fund something useful. Good work, bro.
>20% of people do 80% of the work
This was proven during the plandemic. All the shittiest and lowest paying jobs, are essential. That is the jew at work.
Yeah well I pay for gas too lol
reserves is great work/pay ratio wise, I drilled in California after I was done with my active duty contract, I entered serial numbers of old computers of almost zero value into a spreadsheet and we ate at Sizzler, there was absolutely no reason for this unit to exist and our training would not prepare anyone for actually doing the job either deployed or backfilling a unit that deployed, they worked really hard to keep me but when my 8 year oath or whatever expired I gave it up.
Haha!! I have a job like this. They restructured my company and closed my department, but they didn't lay me off or anything. They did let my boss go, and basically told me to just sit tight and wait for work to come down the line. That was five years ago, and now once a quarter I have to sign off on a bunch of shit, and file that with this inane state government dept. It takes me about 3 days to review and fill out the forms. The rest of the time I sit in my office and read, play video games and watch Netflix. It's great, and I just lay low and make sure the one job gets done.
LOL I love it. You're killing it, bro!
Call center manager here. Same position my dude. Fuck NEETs you can have your cake and eat it to.
My maaaan!
Keep up the good "work" haha
what did you study in school to get into a job like this? just IT related stuff?
lol
Will do :) it is hard to decide whether I want to have a beer before or after I wack off and play video games during the day while getting paid to work from home.
I took a basic network specialist routing and switching program plus a degree in process piping design.
sounds great bro, reserves is good for getting experience in a skill and then moving on, you'd be a fool to reup in the reserves unless you're getting a cushy gov job on base somewhere in the mix
Mega Chad
Haha that's fucking awesome
can you give pro tips on which jobs to work out for,
and which oil company positions that pay well
