It's always nice to see porn threds getting vanned, but until there's a rule to ban porn threds (though not necessarily random posting of porn, just threds dedicated to it) and months upon months (if not years) of active jannying, then no, Any Forums's stuck in porn limbo and at the mercy of coomtards and trannies.

It's not. Any Forums as a whole will never go back to how it was in 2004.
If you ask why, it's because time. The old guard that enforced the culture are mostly gone and what remains are outspoken.
Internet culture as a whole has changed. Any Forums is now largely irrelevant and is mostly just a dumping grounds for bots and idiots.

/b always had porn threads. That's not the problem. The problem is the trannies, niggers, nigger-haters, chubby chasers, furries, and all the bullshit rules about what kind of porn isn't allowed. Because /b went mainstream, OC died for fear of breaking the rules/laws that needed to be enforced to avoid loss of profit.

Add to that, the hordes of children rushing in to "join the club" because it's edgy and cool, all of them too stupid or too ignorant to understand it, and everything posted becomes watered down shit. A meme is just a funny picture with words on it now, instead of an in joke that grew naturally. It used to be that you couldn't force a meme. Now people "make" them.

The biggest problem, though, is the moralfags. /b was at its best when it was the wild west of the internet. When anything could go. Sure, you got some awful shit being posted, but you also got so much great shit too. Everything was richer for it. Then the moralfags screeched their way in, and smothered everything, good and bad.

I loved the porn on /b back in the day. Real amateur girls posting their tits because they were horny. None of this Facebook level pictures of fully clothed girls with fake tans, shitty acrylic nails, and badly drawn eyebrows. Furries were shunned as they should be, traps were hated as they should be, and girls either posted their tits or they were saged back into anonymity as they should be.

You're right about the sanitizing. Too many anti-spam and other anti this and that rules helped kill the board. You cant even post ascii stuff now without the formatting being all fucked up.
