Do you support Critical Race Theory being taught in public schools?
Why or why not?
Do you support Critical Race Theory being taught in public schools?
Yes. Because I've studied it enough to actually know what it is.
Ive seen this a million times on here, and yet I forget it every time..
I wonder why
It's never been taught in public schools, it's just a new thing for right winger fags to get angry about.
You don't think kids should know who's oppressing them?
identity politics of the violent opposition party.
the complex sociology theory?
probably should be taught mostly in college and law school like it is now.
no one is attempting to teach CRT in public middle or high schools
"yeah, well my cousin is a teasher in Terxas and they is trying to teach it to kinfdergardneres"
I have no opinion because I don't know and don't care what it is
yet you posted
No. It is unreproduceable and unscientific, and allows blatant racism and redditor back patting to masquerade as science. The fact that the core defense being used for it now is a glorified no true scotsman like , where all criticism is "oh well honey you just don't know teehee" should tell any thinking person all they need to know. I'll fund CRT in schools the day we have a month to talk about black crime.
No, there's no need to actively force racism. /thread
I still don’t feel like I actually know what it is - the definition seems to change in every article I see talking about it.
What the actual fuck are you doing on Any Forums if you're into that shit?
Every corporatized platform supports that shitty agenda so why come here?
Is it to piss anons off? To ruin one of the rare places where subscribing to that bullshit isn't mandatory?
This is a legit question, why not just go on Twatter or Plebbit for memes and random discussions? These places have been scrubbed clean of anything edgy or contrarian to appease people like you
As part of an "introduction to paradigms" class that introduces students to the common worldviews of the day.
It does. When an issue is found with one disingenuous definition, they just "well actually that isn't even CRT, it's actually..." you, and then you find issue or inaccuracy with that one too, and it just repeats endlessly. These are people that are more interested in word games than in the real world.
>What the actual fuck are you doing on Any Forums if you're into that shit?
trolling for attention
Indoctrination involves telling people what to think. Education involves teaching people how to think.
Litmus test for something that's complete bullshit.
We need more people like you. Too many people get mad about things they don’t actually understand and then make it everyone else’s problem
That statement stops meaning anything in a world where I can just call one thing the other.
Yes but it has to be real critical race theory not the bullshit pop-antiracism stuff. Real CRT as I understand it focuses not on blaming groups of people for racism or making the goal of antiracism just everyone holding hands and singing kumbayah. It talks about how the effects of racism are largely created by state policy, instead of "racist white people". Ironically though, there's a lot of very critical anti white racism masquerading as CRT.
>At the end of the day, teachers should just be able to explain how blacks and whites became unequal (with a focus on RECENT things, not slavery exclusively).
>Also I think this thread is a good show of how a lot of opponents to CRT are just crotchety racists getting their panties in a knot
