Is god necessarily omnipotent?
why?
Is god necessarily omnipotent?
You are asking if a character in a book is omnipotent? Really?
Can god create a stone to heavy to lift for him?
>omnipotent
no, thats why they have fagggot slaves like you do their work.
I too just read the stanford encyclopedia
How could he be? He's bound by the laws of his universe. He has limits.
whats up my niga,
evolution disproved the creation story which means there was no Adam & Eve which means there is no original sin so that means no need for a jesus to make a sacrifice, every museum of natural history in the world is a warehouse full of evidence
god is a myth
the bible is fiction
religion is bullshit
what do religious nuts have??? a dusty old bible written by goat molesters
youre fucking autistic as shit, go kys.
Adam and eve is about sin, not creation. The bible was jewish poetry and based on the creation of civilization, not the fucking human genome. say it again, you are fucking painfully autistic.
You're honestly so far gone, you couldn't even describe the bible right.
"bible is written by big man in sky, who rape muh wife, he give me christmuhs,"
Depends on which myth you're referring to.
Yaweh is necessarily omnipotent because it's supposed to be the totality of all things and possible human experience.
In contrast, Greek or pagan gods narratively come across shit all the time that they can't will their way out of.
Yes, and he can lift it too. God created everything you think he can't pull off a paradox?
It is known that if you knew the state, velocity, mass and trajectory of every particle and photon and every possible interaction in the universe you would also be able to know exactly all that ever was and all that ever will be at any point in time since the beginning of the universe.
Conversely any breakdown of any of these underlying, consistent laws would cause the universe to cease in its current form. So even if your magic sky man exists and is "infinite" in the sense of absolute omnipotence, that entity is and will forever be impotent and unnecessary
If God is omnipotent then it makes the need for various biblical punishments entirely moot, why control through fear when one can simply tweak a few neurons?
If He is omniscient then how does so much shit happen that he seemingly never knows about? How did the forbidden fruit debacle even occur in the first place, how would an angel ever be able to secretly disobey His law. More over, if He is omnipresent, everywhere at once how did He not notice?
If there is a god that conforms to the biblical descriptions, it is an entity of supreme malevolence and hatred for all humankind, very few of the stories of the bible show a benevolent and loving father figure. If His seeming lack of omniscience, and omnipotence is intentional, then we are simply toys. I would not worship such a thing, eternity in hell is preferable to the kind of moral corruption of the soul required to simple accept that lot in things.
All if this is moot anyway as religion is just yet another way for elites to pacify and control the idiot masses.
If there ever was a god or creating intelligence, it likely only ever influenced the universe at the very first instance of it's creation, maybe even was annihilated in the process or just has no power over the plane that was created.
Personally I much prefer the idea of god as a concept to describe the totality of all that is, was, and will ever be. The kinship of all things that exist.
Omnipresent, but not all knowing or all powerful, does a grain of sand know itself? Does a dog comprehend all facets of it's existence. Do you?
You and I are within God, just as God is within us, but also the air, and the earth, the swirling plasma of the sun and the empty almost-nothingness of the interstellar media. That's God to me, at that is infinitely more beautiful than the christian or Islamic outlook.
another autistic shithead detected. Never read the bible but will speak on it.
god is pretty cool.
Which god?
All the omnipotent gods are necessarily omnipotent by definition.
hey cool dubs
Yes just turn the whole of creation into the stone such that lift loses all context.
consider all the other religions.
more powerful than humans =/= omnipotent =/= worthy of worship.
return to Euro-nature, make deals with local spirits and their families.
thank you 35
If God exists, then they are above our understanding of omnipotent. It a question you or me can answer.
You will find out once you die.
It is the other way around, by definition of creation, the universe is bound by the law of god, it is the universe that has limits because of god.
Cringe.
*tips* M'ladyboy.
Abiogenesis is the theorized scientific explanation of creation, not evolution, you are incredibly confused about the terminology you are using.
>it is known
No, the uncertainty principle states that it is actually impossible to simultaneously exactly know a particle's speed and current position.
>all thr science faggots in this thread thinking that a god can't exist because OMG SCIENCE IS AWESOME!!!!
Imagine thinking two things can't exist at once.
Good luck with your suicide.
