Folklore thread. State what culture you identify with and explain your folk stories

I'm a Norteño, a Mexican northerner, culturally close to American Southerners, the typical archetype of a Norteño is a rancher that rides horses, herds cattle and isn't a stranger to guns or fucking his first cousin; cowboy hats, flannels, blue jeans and boots (the pointy boots), and distinct polka inspired music as well as acoustic guitar songs (banda and corridos). I've never done any of that shit (I do personally know people that love their 1st cousin and swear by it tho) but that's the image the rest of the country has of us. Also, drug trafficking is very common since we live close to the border, which leads me to the folk story, the story of Don Alejo.
Alejo Garza-Tamez was the typical Norteño man, owned a sawmill, had a reputation for being a hard-working and reliable man, loved hunting and fishing, he and his brother had bought a ranch together... A ranch that Los Zetas had set their eyes upon, soon after the purchase, the gang members demanded that Don Alejo hand over the deed, and gave him 24 hours to think about it before they came in force to take over, this was a big mistake, because Don Alejo was no pushover, enraged at the cartel's ultimatum, Don Alejo quickly put together his gun collection and as much ammunition as he could fit in his truck and drove off to the ranch, where he told his workers not to come to work tomorrow, he then put guns at the ready on every door and window and waited.
Los Zetas announced their arrival with a warning shot into the air proclaiming themselves the new owners of the ranch, Don Alejo then called the Marines (the ones to call for narco control in Mexico) and opened fire. A firefight ensued, and despite being heavily outnumbeded and receiving a few grenades, don Alejo managed to kill 4 Zetas and wound 2 more, successfully defending his property until the Zetas' retreat. When the marines arrived, all they found a ruined ranch with dead narcos outside, and inside they found Don Alejo, who had died from his wounds.

It is, if narcos have their sights on your business you're completely fucked, they WILL ruin your life to get their way, that's why a man standing his ground and opposing a narco takeover is such a hero; that's why the only clean people owning businesses are foreigners.

Mexicans should have like a place where non drug users go. Only for pure mexicans and non whites. Slowly expand this to the whole country

Tf do you mean? The only real solution anyone can come up with is to escape the country somehow, graduate in STEM and find work in a more civilized place like Canada or somewhere in Europe that isn't Spain.

Mexican nationalism should start again and get closer with spain. The mixing of the races is horrible so they should bith create seperate communites. Latin people should also be seperated in America

This would solve literally nothing, race hasn't been an issue since the early days of independence when the constitution was written, the only races being seriously bullied are the natives and their populations are so small they don't figure into the economy or into politics, take the Zapatistas for example, the government could easily go kick them out of the jungle, but they don't because they don't matter, there's no reason to give them the light of day, just let them stay in their containment zone where they can do socialism all they want, the government has been successfully ignoring them for a good decade now.

It's an allegory for the war on drugs and the prison-industrial complex.
