This. Standardized tests are a fucking joke, and forcing kids to spend three hours taking an arbitrary test is unhelpful on the micro (hard for some kids to stay focused or give a shit for that long, easy for them to give up if they feel they're doing poorly and there's still two hours to go) and the macro (better funded schools with smaller class sizes will universally do better than poorer districts with larger class sizes) levels. And since funding is often allocated at least partially due to graduation rate and test results, this creates a death spiral where schools do bad, then they do worse because they did bad, forever and ever.
Our education system is fucked, and i can verify that urban public schooling is a fucking sham. I also know multiple students who came out with a 1.0 gpa and then started successful businesses. So clearly the system doesn't directly correlate to skill or knowledge, it just correlates to a specific kind of book learning

As someone with ADHD, nobody gives a fuck. That's too bad because everywhere else in life you're going to have to do so unless you can find a way to use it to your benefit.
Makes me laugh too, oh boo goo standardized testing. Want to be a lawyer? Bar exam. Nurse or doctor? Exam. Mechanic? ASE or A&P. Pilot? Exams and check rides.

Bro most people who run and operate global logistics centres that consolidate external sales into its own catalog are born into that discipline. They're grandfathered into it. If your dad built it, he and his friends are gonna teach you how to maintain it. None of these lower-class peons would never have the foundational experiences which would shape a tech CEO.
