National oil production will take time to get to prepandemic levels, and OPEC is still deciding if it wants to ramp up production, while all oil companies benefit with increased profits.
This is purposeful low supply vs high demand in full display, OPEC and oil companies are price gauging consumers.
But most Americans will boil it down to "my team better than your team" politics
