do some people (or even most people) hear a clear voice in their head when they're thinking? because i've done some research and this seems to be the case. i have never had this happen to me, not once, and i wouldn't have this mental quirk installed into my brain for all the money in the world. sounds fucked up as shit.

Well how the fuck do you think then? I got 2 methods. I can intuit things, but i primarily use the speech words i got.

It's like a clone of myself in my own head. Imagining someone now having it seems like the same people might have some mental disability from my pov. But apparently not the case?!?!?!?!?

It's a voice but not like actually hearing. Not everyone has it. Also, you know it's you. If you hear a voice and you know it's not you, then that's probably schizophrenia.

no i get screaming and a friendly monster near my refrigerator every morning

I do not have an internal monologue either. You're perfectly normal.

Yeah, most normal people have it. Arguably it's the thing that defines you as human. You probably have autism or something.

Is anyone else’s extremely witty and sarcastic and jaded?

Op has never pondered

God I thank the lord every day I’m not a fluoride brain nice like OP who has no internal monologue. I imagine OP is the type of person who gets home from his minimum wage job and just lays in bed staring at the ceiling with milky eyes until they fall alseep.

not only am i normal, but honestly, i think there's something very abnormal about having an internal monologue

cope

Bro you do not think, by your own admission

You are both autistic, am inability to process thought in streams of coherent language within yourself are the result of autism, same for people who cannot mentally picture things.

Thats so wild. I literally talk with myself in my head all the time, what is having no internal voice like? How do you think and figure stuff out?

Cope what? Lmfao

I find it amusing yet frustrating that so many word-brains think they're the "real" humans. If your mind is a self-reding PDF file, then I think you're not human.

>self-reding PDF file

user, has anyone ever said to you “the lights are on but nobody’s home”?

There's a difference between not being able to and not having it on by default. I can picture things in my head perfectly fine.

and yet there's nothing stopping me using the word "think" or any other word i want to use. that should be enough to make you understand that this "thinking" shit is overrated.

OP, I've not got an internal monologue either.

It's pretty wild to think people could go to the store and not say to themselves 'oh hey, I need to buy bread'

Nope. Your attitude is concerning, btw. You word-brains really seethe hard when the tables start to turn.

do you not get music stuck in your head?

The way it works is thus:
The idea forms first, basically instantly.
Then you go over it verbally in your mental voice, as a way of double-checking everything, and getting ready to relay the information to other people.

Is the table in the room with you now?

Crazy shit. It’s probably why so many are democrats. It “feels” right. If they have no voice to talk through and make logical assumptions and be grounded by that way, it’s literally just feeling. Easily manipulation 101

why would i need to say that to myself? i know i need fucking bread, no need to say anything

Why can't you simply know you need to buy bread without telling yourself?

Oh shit, you just compared me to twitter limpwrists. How will I ever cope?

Do you actively say in your head "I need to take a shit." "Time to walk to the bathroom." "I'm almost done shitting" "Time to flush"? Is that what daily life for you is like?

Y'all never forget something and then remember it later?
