Your minority usecase does not matter to the larger GNU/Linux community.

The actual state of Any Forums
wayland is specific to the GNU/Linux system
bsdfags can't even use it
Does it atleast use less ram or is just a waste of time?
>wayland is specific to the GNU/Linux system

So if Wayland is supposed to be the new great thing, what does it actually do that x doesn't? What does it solve? I'm serious, it's been years since I was into Linux and I'm just getting back into it now
>discriminating against minorities
waylandsisters.... really?

>You don't need screen temperature management.
what the nigger fuck?
Security supposedly
I don't get it
>hurr durr gotta use the half-baked soiware how dare you use somethinf stable
Most of those work fine on wayland
Screen white color temperature, 6500K being neutral. It's basically the same feature as color management.
what about night light?
what about electron apps?
oh. I mean, I have that though?
That's part of color management.
Night light works on feetfag DE, color calibration is non existent
???
>using a computer
>ever
>Night light works on feetfag DE
not with nvidya + wayland
does it actually work tho
wayland is almost useless with nvidia
yes? if I turn it off it looks bluer and shit. It auto detected my X-Rite Colormunki and gives you the option to color calibrate it right there.
Fuck off.

>Wayland is written with the assumption of Linux to the extent that every client application tends to #include because Wayland's designers didn't see the need to define a OS-neutral way to get mouse button IDs.
>So far, all Wayland compositors but swc have a hard dependency on libinput, which only supports Linux's input API (also cloned in FreeBSD). In NetBSD we have an entirely different input API
