How long until AI takes over tech jobs like programming, it seems like it would be pretty easy to implement and would save the company millions

Unless you're doing code monkey web API creation, then it's not. And I mean writing APIs that do nothing but wrap other functions, like some literal intern level shit. If you're doing anything more complex then no business is going to let a black box write more black box software, well maybe one will, and then it'll burn to the ground when a bug appears and serve as a warning to others.

They already use AI/algorithms to write articles on tech sites.

Once we get more advanced AIs then i don't see a reason why businesses wouldn't trust it to write code, it would definitely make a lot less mistakes than a human, and if an AI can replace an artist (see pic), then it most definitely can replace a programmer

mmmm penguin

been doing so for many years. just read the daily mail website sometime. every day there's typos and huge fuckups. nobody proofreads the website version of their paper at all.

still pissed that aifags have fucked over my art job

Even if you had AI programmers, the people that use them would still have to be able to specify exactly what they want. Programmer jobs are safe.

get a real job

Either become traditional artist or go the crafts way, there will be always people willing to pay for handmade bespoke dress in time of fast fashion or to have an unique piece of furniture that is functional and agelessly beautiful. Or join the photographers. The AI won't generate the pictures out of thin air, feed it and it will reward you.

i actually lol'd

will you get one?

Better than most tattoo artists. Would people let AI poke them with inkneedles?
