Connect cities with high speed rails or atleast trains

>Connect cities with high speed rails or atleast trains
>Have metros to allow people to travel inside cities
>Get rid of highways and roads inside urban areas and replace them with pedestrian areas and bike lanes
>Use high speed rails to transport goods and products
BAM! I just solved the Gas price crisis, crisis averted

because redoing the entire civilian and trucking infrastructure and replacing them with even more expensive modes of transport wouldnt cost a dime

Your gas costs way more than a dime
>even more expensive modes of transport wouldnt cost a dime
What is car repairs. What is insurance. What is fuel. What is tire change.

They are working on that. I know there is a project underway right now to connect Charolette to Atlanta via high-speed rail. As one example. It's been in the works for a little over a decade. It takes time to do stuff like that. Not as easy as just drawing a line on a map and saying, "Put it here."

sure, only if you'll sell your land to govt for low price to get the rail between the city centers.

you are either a 16yo zoom zoom dumbass, or worse, a millennial idiot who took basket weaving in college and thinks you have all the answers.

both are fail

>repairs, insurance, and tires are comparable to a multibillion dollar railway and trains
This is almost as bad a pitch as the hyperloop, the money to set this kind of thing up would have to be straight from the taxpayers wallet

sounds like communism. the solution is to drill but Biden and the libtards won't do that.

It won't be for a low price. Farmers are selling their land like crazy in rural America for neighborhoods. The federal government usually pays a premium for land for interstates. The scam there is usually a politician or a buddy of a politician will learn of where the road is going to go. Then they buy up all the land. The government will buy it from them for more than they paid for it.

Look up Strom Thurmond I-26 as an example.

>people getting rich with current system
>same people running businesses and government
>expect them to change system

It's not as much Biden as the oil industry can't find workers. People don't want to kill themselves by drilling for oil. They have been quitting in droves and the oil companies are having trouble finding new people. Also during Covid when we had a surplus of fuel most energy companies didn't reinvest in bringing production back up. They put their money in renewables. BP cut oil production and didn't bother to bring it back up. They know oil won't be a big business in a few decades and they are all trying to find the next big thing.

>Trucks don't need roads to function at all
>Highways don't need maintenance paid by taxpayers
The average freight train can carry the same load as 76 HGVs 76%, it's better value for your money than trucks

Ever notice how dumbasses think it's just one thing causing fuel prices to go up. This shows their lack of understanding of how this works. Simplistic thinking powers the imagination so you end up with an overly simplistic solution to a problem that doesn't exist.

If you ever find yourself thinking, "Well what don't they do this one obvious thing to fix this problem..." Then you have to ask yourself, "Do I really understand what is causing the problem here?"

fuck off poor fag. I'll keep my vehicles

>Some crisis has multiple causes
>Notice one cause that exacerbates it but for some reason it isn't talked about as much
>"You dumbass it's not the only cause, you can't mention solutions to it"

Gonna become poor with that mentality

The problem with freight trains is getting the goods from the train depot to its final destination. It is far more efficient to carry goods by rail but it takes months to do what big trucks can do in days. I've worked for places where we've had things just sit at a train depot for months waiting to be linked up to an engine to carry it down the track. Then it will get to our local train depot and just sit there. They won't call anyone or do anything about it. So you spend months checking every day to see if it's there yet. Then you need an 18-wheeler to carry it from the train depot to your factory 21 miles away.

Freight train companies do not care about customer service. They operate slower than anyone and are subsidized so they don't care if you use them or not. They let trucking companies take the business from them over the past 50 years and never cared about it.

You forgot to add that the person dusts their hands off after mentioning one solution and write it off as they are smart and figured this all out by themselves.

>Gonna become poor
Not a chance--the advantages of being able to use my brain and get a good paying job. Gas prices suck right now but they'll go back down again.

Ok I don't really get it. Gas prices went up like what? They doubled I guess? So that means you are completely out of money and you can't afford anything? Not even the higher gas prices? Did you spend like 2000$ on gas every month and now you can't spend 4000? I don't fucking understand. If I wanted to drive around all month it would cost me about 100-200$ maybe. Does it matter?
