Russia is literally a crumbling. Their system of effective state capitalism where every major company is run by one of Putin's cronies has been a complete disaster for the country.
Even the oil income hardly benefits the ordinary people, since a big chunk of anything that was invested in Russia just vanishes into thin air due to corruption and much of the rest of it has simply been put into a big war chest that's now being wasted in a pointless war in Ukraine.
