You retard, The United States was objectively better by every major measure in the 80's than it is now.

Year over year, the economy has grown at a compounded rate of 3-5% a year on average since then.
Wages have stayed relatively stable with a +/-1% change when mandated up.

That revenue from the economic growth ends up in the hands of corporations, which would in theory, pay tax for doing business in America. Republicans have consistently reduced this tax rate, and traditional dems (Neo Liberal Scum) have no interest in raising it.

Virtually every member of the senate and congress has millions of dollars invested in these companies.

They aren't working for you user. They're working for themselves and its so egregious that its become impossible to hide.
