The soaring prices of lots of trading cards began two years ago, but I attribute that to politicians. If I thought that presidents have that kind of control over economies, I would be in /pol being miserable right now as one does in /pol instead of in /b rating waifus like a happy coomer.

I suppose politicians might be in on it but I doubt it.

I think card prices are inflated for a number of reasons. That happened in 2020 pretty early on. Jake Paul deserves to burn alive for building hype.
General inflation is on Biden. His policies are a shitty as his depends.
But yeah, I'm buying that card friday and washing my hands of Pokemon TCG.

I was able to trade some yu-gi-oh cards for a 2080ti ftw3 a few years ago. Card prices for a lot of games are insane.
