It’s not a requirement but the issue with your proposed lifestyle is parking
Most municipalities don’t let you camp on the street so you’re looking at having your home double as your commuter vehicle
If that’s no issue for you, knock yourself out, but unless you’re parking in the lot of the Amazon fulfillment center in the middle of nowhere it’s likely to be an inconvenience
Never mind that all your shit is on wheels so you better have a backup plan if it gets stolen or trashed

i'm one of the last to say EVs are good but say you have an electric van and electric bike and solar panels and you don't really move all that much but you do sometimes. Being a hobo, having a reliable car is a must. An electric motor never needs oil or any of that shit, and with gas as expensive as it is it's a tough call. Gas vans get pretty bad mileage.
