Common consumer idiocy

>walk into best buy for fun
>walk around and hear people talking
>hear some guy talking about his new laptop and how he just bought a new one this year cause he heard that Apple was having a sell
>doesn't do anything but basic work on it and nothing very cool if anything

>keep walking around
>some guy is looking at HDMI cables
>he is going to get it
>$35 for a 50ft cable
>thinks it's a good deal
>dying to chime in
>rather let him make a poor decision

Any Forums why are people stupid?

>$35 for a 50ft cable
You laugh but that cable will work and last years. If you go on Amazon and scroll past all the $30ish 50 foot HDMI cables you'll find a $17 one, sure, but it is almost guaranteed to break in 6 months if it even works in the first place.

>"OMG (Oh My GNU) why would he buy a MacBook when he could have just bought a 10 year old stinkpad off ebay and installed Gentoo on it."
>"I can't believe he bought that cable for $35. He could have bought a $10 one on Amazon and had $25 left to buy Funko Pops."
>look like picrel resisting the urge to have an autistic spergout

>start GNU/Car

The good news op, is that you have identified it. Now use it to your advantage. But I have to warn you, sometimes when you assume you have an intelligent advantage, murphy drops his law on your ass, ya know? Like, riddle me this, what if 35 dollar cord dude isnt stupid, he just has so much money, he doesnt give a fuck about 35 bucks, he would have paid 350 if it meant porn in 4k. See, now you feel like an asshole if thats the case, because he was smart enough to get rich enough to not notice the stupid shit the other stupid people do.

Kek

I WISH I was autistic user, I'd be getting money from the GOV and spending money on trains.
How can I not be when people are this dumb? They refuse to learn. They refuse to listen. I don't get it.

I don't think I'm smarter than the average poodle user, I think that when it comes down to knowing where to shop online and in person, that's my thing. I don't know how to build a pi or how to use it's software and OS' that you can download, but I know where to find it and learn.

>he doesn't give a fuck about the price.
How do normies do this shit? How do they go about their day not caring how much they spend?

It will be obsolete in a few years when the standards change and new formats are introduced.

>How can I not be when people are this dumb? They refuse to learn. They refuse to listen. I don't get it.
dude smoking gun... you just... you know just??

See, shit like that, I don't get

Of course you don't. You don't pick up on social cues or know how to read the room, instead you think you're all high and mighty preaching from your ivory tower of freetardom.

>How can I not be when people are this dumb?
And what are you doing to correct this perceived lack of intelligence you arrogant fuck?

>How do they go about their day not caring how much they spend?
When you have a job and are not relying on neetbux, those concerns tend to go away. And again, the dude was buying a $35 cable, not a $350 cable. So clearly he does care how much he spends, you socially inept fucking autist.

What's replacing HDMI in a few years for home video?

Your mums ballsack.

No I just never heard that, it's new to me user.
>social cues.
No I understand most things when it comes to that which is why I don't talk to normies at stores

>you arrogant fuck
for starters, they are shopping at BEST BUY
2ndly, when did I insult you and sense when does Any Forums care about normies?

>spending money
Still, even $35 for a cable is a bit much. 90% of cords are basically the same, the only difference is company, it's a placebo affect
>I'm this angry at a story that I don't know if is real or fiction
Man user, go look at porn for a while and calm down.

Normies who fail to listen to reason are a joke, but you didn't even give them a chance
In fact, you explicitly allowed fucking Best Buy to profiteer off their potentially fixable ignorance, making you the meme in this situation

In the past I have tried user, I've tried to give decent advice without condescending, normies don't hear anything other than, "You're a fucking retard who dun know nuffin about no technomolgy" People here are commonly dumb as dirt. I would love to lend a hand and help them to the right decision, but people don't want it. So I've just decided not to help.

Just because it fits in the opening doesn't mean the cable does everything the opening offers. HDMI is already on version 2.1 and it can carry power over Ethernet which wasn't a thing when it started.

Best Buy won.

I don't really care honestly user.

>$35 for a 50ft cable
that's not so bad
