Should I build now or wait till Black Friday

If you can wait, then wait.
We have 3 new architectures coming from AMD and Nvidia, a slightly-more-than-refresh from Intel, and node shrinks. So it'll be very significant jumps up in price:performance and sales on older stuff should come.

Looking for a 1440p 144+hz ips monitor to pair with my order for the 3060ti. Been eyeing up the Dell S2721DGFA, which seems to be the best value for money. Does anyone here own one and are there better choices?

pcpartpicker.com/list/bvTNyK

For vidya and possibly streaming later on, can't wait til I'm able to buy this

>Dell S2721DGFA
absolutely not.
for one, its a nanoips panel with exceptionally bad contrast
and even worse, it has a crappy local dimming feature *that you can't turn off when feeding it HDR*

good budget picks, should be around 300 shekels:
gigabyte g27q or m27q, benq ex2780q
the m27q is the best of the bunch for gaming, but BGR subpixel layout, which negatively affects text rendering

premium picks, around 400 shekels:
msi mag274qrf-qd, asus rog xg27aq, acer nitro xv272u kv
if all are same price, pick the msi
otherwise, pick the cheapest

is there any resources on suggested fans?

My 1080Ti recently started artifacting, so I need a replacement. What should I get? CPU is a 2700X, but I plan to replace it with a 5700X or 5800X3D in the future. Res is 1440p, I generally play less demanding things like Souls games or "AA" games.

the mag274qrf-qd is ~420 on amazon right now that's what I'm getting, not sure about the Samsung LU32J590UQNXZA but I'm used to having a 32 inch tv as my second monitor

smoothbrain logic here bois, opinions?
so I just got a 3080 12GB for $1200 (not in the US so prices are higher, I'm just converting for you frens).
4000 series has already been pushed back a month minimum.
I want max future-proofing and have upgradeitis.
do I return the 3080 12GB and get a 3090Ti that's in stock for $2200?

5500 and 5600 should probably be recommended over 12100 and 12400 for those that no longer need an iGPU because AM4 boards are like $60 cheaper than alder lake ones now.

10100f is also an option for ultra poorfags.

you can get a 5 pack of arctic 120mm pwm fans for like $30.

6700xt if you can't wait a few months for the next GPUs and want the best price:performance you can get now.

>wants max future proofing
>gets a gpu that's less than HALF as fast as GPUs coming out in a few months
>asks if he should spend $1000 for another GPU that's also less than HALF as fast as GPUs coming out in a few months
Verify your vasectomy before I give advice. I will not increase your chances at breeding.

thanks user!

>he actually thinks 4000 series will have stock and/or release for MSRP in the first 2 years.

just preorder or buy AMD then. RDNA has been a really good GPU architecture and AMD's driver has been as good or better than Nvidia's for years.

>6700XT
much appreciated user. I am a bit out of the loop, but heard that AMD did some bullshit about the 6700XT running at like PCIe 3.0x8 or something instead of x16. Would that fuck me at all? I should have mentioned my board is B450, so no PCIe 4.0 for me.

Just got it to turn on again. I'm not really sure what the problem is. There might be something wrong with the PCI-E power cables coming from my PSU.

>the mag274qrf-qd is ~420 on amazon right now that's what I'm getting
sounds good

>not sure about the Samsung LU32J590UQNXZA
uhm, not 100% sure, but it seems like its a 32inch/4k/60hz VA monitor?
i don't know about the specific panel, but 32inch/4k/60hz VA is a good choice if you want it primarily for media
the benq ew3270u is a good panel for this usecase
if its not for media, i'd suggest switching to ips and dropping to 27 inches
you can also get 32/4k/60hz ips, but they will be more expensive
plus the smaller panel will give you better ppi so better text quality
plus it will look nicer next to the 27inch gaming panel

>rumors 7900XT will cost $2000 on release, and NVIDIA equivalent will likely be more.
bro, a 3090Ti would set me up for like 5 years min. semiconductor shortage will be going until Q3/Q4 2023 + scalpers + crypto may spike again + the usual number of pre-orders.
the Ti is in-stock and I can enjoy max vidya from tomorrow.
idk man,

where can i get a 6700xt that ships across cunts within the eu? it might actually be cheaper to ship one from another country than buy in my shithole

the samsung would just be for media, I was just using a 32" samsung tv thats super old but I broke it, not really concerned about how it looks, I'm not sure what to change up for that benq monitor, this is me

actually fuck it, 6950 XT seems a better card than my 3080 12GB. little more VRAM headroom for the future, literally $100 more and beats a 3080 Ti majority of the time at 1440p

*how it looks next to the 27"

That was the 6600/XT. 6700/XT and up are all x16.
