Can someone explain the big Z on the vehicles?
I've also seen some with a V, but far more with a Z. Is this some kind of visual warning for air support so they don't bomb their own guys?

There are videos of Russian trains delivering all kinds of non-military vehicles to the border for its invasion. That Opel might not have been commandeered.

Considering some people describe the ukrainian military as poorly equiped and poorly trained, these soldiers look to have good equipment and training, based on how they move.

it indicates which front theyre attacking from. v is south z is north i think

Z is for one area of operations, V is for another. Pretty much what you said. In a war where 95% of the equipment is the same you need some kind of marker. Hence the yellow band on the Ukrainians, the Orange stripes/white rags on the Russians

Ah ok makes sense. Thanks

someone said on here that the Z is a Russian symbol for "West". So I'm not sure how accurate that information is. It would have to be for identification purposes, perhaps for their unit? It looks crude too, like they just took a can of white spray paint and went to town with it, no stencils or anything.

Asolutely annihilated those poor fuckers.
