I dunno man that looks a bit extreme even for me. I can’t swim either so fuck that

I appreciate the recommendation but it’s categorised as a thriller, I’m hoping to watch a horror

what horror movies do you enjoy? i can give you plenty of recommendations- don't know if it'll "scare" you but it'll certainly entertain

i had the same mentality as you last october and watched and logged over 100 horror movies throughout the month to try and find a movie that would "scare" me- i found that some people just don't get scared by movies at all and some people get scared by the littlest things possible

a good example of a movie for ppl who get scared too easy is "The Conjuring", people say that movie is scary and it's not it's actually cringe bullshit and one of the dumbest films i've seen- but if you're really sensitive to jump scares you'll probably piss yourself

but don't watch The Conjuring i can give you better recs than that

Thanks for your time user, I don’t find the conjuring scary, I watched ringu and the grudge last week and didn’t find that scary. Paranormal activity 1 had me feeling a bit unsettled but I’d say 4/10 and I’m hoping for a good 7/10. I guess demonic shit because it has a sense of realism with a mixture of jump scares and atmospheric build up

The Wailing is an incredible Korean horror movie if you don’t mind subtitles.

Event Horizon.

Looks pretty good thanks user. It’s quite a long one so I might shelf it for another night but if I don’t get any other recommendations I’ll give it a go

You have me intrigued user I do like a bit of sci fi

Ringu is not very scary to me it's more of a vibey atmospheric ghost story if anything- Ju-On is not very good to me just a shittier version of the same premise

instead go watch Audition (1999) and Cure (1997) immediately- those are the two very best of modern J-horror

then i recommend Suicide Club, Noroi: The Curse, Occult, Pulse (original japanese), and Marebito.. all some of my personal favorites

to be fair I don't react at all to jump scares I just love film and I love horror movies- like I said I can't guarantee to scare you only to give you something interesting

Nice I’m gonna give Cure a go I quite like the sound of the detective element. I appreciate you user I’ve screen capped the post so I’ll potentially watch your other recommendations if Cure is good

Thanks anons I may give these a go in the future

i really think you're gonna enjoy it honestly it's probably one of the greatest japanese films made and that's saying a lot

japan has a long history of horror films though.. Kwaidan is a legendary example

Paul W.S. Anderson kind of sucks. But this flick is a classic. The ship went to hell and back man. It's awesome. You ask anyone that watched it and I'm pretty sure eveyone was creeped out by the demonic latin played back from the ship log.

Liberate tutemet ex inferis

should i post my letterbox'd? i watch and review a lot of crazy horror so if someone wants to follow it wouldn't be a bad way to find something to wafch

Nightmare on elm street, just watch them all. I hope Fred stops bugging me now that I've told you...

Miss Violence or Irreversible
Both of them are slow, but it got scenes that really makes you feel uncomfortable
