>Troubleshooting If there seems to be a bug (or complicated issue), anons may ask you to compose an MWE (minimum working example). To create an MWE, try the following: 1) start emacs with "emacs -q". This disables your init. 2) try to reproduce your issue with as few settings changed and packages (manually) loaded as possible. These steps ensure that other anons can replicate your problem if it's something more involved. Sometimes you even find the cause yourself this way, too!

The English hardcover looks really beautiful, too. And such a nice condition. I'd been meaning to buy one but only found the 1st edition with the red cover.

Lemme guess, you don't use any key to the right of Enter. Hell, maybe you even use a 60% keyboard.
Oh right, terminal emulators can't into proper input handling, hence they have to resort to all sorts of shit such as modal editing.
Is emacs shit because it was designed for use with LISP? LISP is obsolete now and wasn't very impressive in its own day. LISP machines were expensive toys that got BTFO'd by actual computers in both functionality and cost. Hardware acceleration for LISP was a bad idea. There have definitely been better editors made since the days of MITs trying to figure out how to make their toy language useful.
LISP is a programming language from the 60s, Lisp is a programming language family that includes Elisp

This really isn't how you make arguments. How cane we respond to what you say when you just throw out meaningless statements like that?
Why is emacs shit? What does it mean for LISP to be obsolete? What editors are definitely better made?
I realize that you're just here to troll, but still...

>BTFO'd by actual computers in both functionality and cost. Weren't they one of the first with graphical acceleration cards and still had great graphics capabilities and applications almost all the way up to bankruptcy?
