Canadian here, our gas is at 6.7725 per gallon right now and it’s assumed to be over 7.75-8 per gallon by the summer. Thanks for shutting down all the oil industry dipshits.

It's not about the difference in price for weekly commuting. It's about the fact that the overwhelming majority of goods largely rely upon road transport, so an increase in gas price will ripple through all goods and services and inflate the cost of living.

He wants to sign a bill/initiative that will install chargers like gas stations. Do these idiots not know how long it takes to charge an electric vehicle? Filling up with gas takes 3 minutes and gets you 400-500 miles, meanwhile, electric fast charging is 15 minutes for 50 miles (if you're lucky), and anything other than DC charging is hours for 50 miles (the things you see at shopping centers). Not to mention how much damage constantly slapping huge DC spikes into the battery does to it's longevity.
