Macbook dilemma

Should I get 14 inch MBP (10-C), 1 TB SSD or 16 inch one with 512gb SSD? There's just 30$ difference from the reseller. Or should I wait for M2 air? It'll cost me nearly the same.

you should get the rope

sorry not interested in gayming

that just means poor performance

It's not just video gays, it's a benchmark that shows x86 emulation performance. You know because 90% of all useful software on this planet has been brutally and mercilessly optimized for x86 and the ARM ports are fucking dogshit?

name some useful software that can't be run natively on apple silicon

microsoft windows

The ""native"" software sucks balls. Either feature crippled or runs FASTER through x86 emulation. There is no magic compiler that translates x86 assembly optimizations into similarly efficient ARM assembly optimizations.

Docker. Some Terraform providers

Docker has had support for a while

It runs in a Linux VM. Granted, an aarch64 one, and thus can't run some amd64 containers, heard it happened with some Python libs.

16 inch, probably best to wait for the M2 at this point
Screen space is good and you should have a lot of it unless you do work on planes

virtualbox

name some useful native software that sucks balls

>buying from a reseller
Jamal pls

works on my machine.

16 if you're using m1 max, 14 if m1 pro
m2 air if you want to save a bit of money

Neither.
Get a cheap laptop and put Linux on it

M2
