What killed the hype?
What killed the hype?
When they started selling them instead of 3d printing themselves
>all the tweaking and tuning needed
>the time required to print
>the quality and strength of parts
its a great hobbyist too like a cnc router or a lathe
but just like those tools you cant really recommend them to normies
your average nigger cattle doesnt need one. It's a propmaker's dream and basically a required component of any cosplayer's workshop
check out my headphone hanger I 3d printed
requires too much tinkering/time investment but the products it produces aren't that great. works for some niches but it's not a mainstream product
Most of the time the problem is actually needing something to print
From my Twitter habits, I only know of two groups that use these things often:
- 3D gun frame printers, which works surprisingly well.
- Japanese guys printing custom figures and accessories for them
Nothing, today I printed a .307 Winchester 75 rounds drum magazine for a CETME C and works like a charm.
75rds of that seems a bit heavy, no?
It is indeed, but it's super fun.
Oh wow a magazine
>.307 Winchester
You managed to convert a CETME to a 1970s, rimmed lever gun round and even made a drum magazine for it?
Are they under $1000 yet? I could see myself buying one in a few years.
They're $1000 ?
Yikes
You guys do realize plastic shit is cheap right?
If I ever needed something 3d printed I'd just call a guy with an industrial 3d printer anyways
