Dude, I used to smoke weed and I knew exactly when I was being too obvious because it reeked so bad. Anyone who has ever lived in a college dorm knows that you need to use a spoof (toilet paper roll and dryer sheets) to mask the smell. Even then, it smells like someone trying to hide the stench of weed, but at least it smells like fresh laundry. The guy knows he just doesn't care. Unlucky for him, it's still illegal in my state and he's therefore committing a crime, so he has absolutely zero justification whatsoever.
