the latest updoot of libreoffice got some nice office shit. importing docx etc. now works really good

Microsoft word is the only that can translate documents right sadly

worse thing is actually excel.
literally no substitutes

emac.

can you make a side by side comparison of the formatting?

I prefer onlyoffice but libre office is ok too.

The problem with Linux office suites is they lack integration with Microsoft office 365 or Google docs which is obviously unavoidable.
Cloud integration is necessary when collaborating with people at university or in the workplace and try as I may I can't convince normies to use nextcloud lmao.

libreoffice has libreoffice online

I mean why not make the formatting perfect?
I thought docx documents were supposed to be some kind of xml anyways so it has very detailed instructions on how the formatting ought to be done on the document file itself.

oh

Kek. No.
Using docx files from different versions of word still results in errors

Sage

I just used a python library called docx util and it yeah look. The formatting is very detailed.
Had to run it through wsl though, freaking windows.

Imagine needing this bullshit for work. Lmao officecucks. Suck any middle manager dick lately? Got those power points ready for the meeting? Sure you arent out of pens?

At my job all finished documents are .pdf to discourage editing them once they’re complete and for its superior security features. Your office software must export a valid pdf, thats it, so users of any OS can work from home. We do this partly because macfag office still breaks word documents. But sure its just linux! Microsoft made this product because of macs.

There's both LibreOffice and OpenOffice.

What is the issue with these as Microsoft Office alternatives.
