Jews

googlel marketing

they killed extensions

fags and trannies

IE was utter crap from the beginning, it just was preinstalled on windows and people were too stupid to install anything else

Literally nobody asked?

op picrel is about internet explorer you fucking retard

>broke the old extensions
>was really slow compared to chrome for a long time
>quantum changed that, but it was already too late
>kept introducing changes that no one asked for and only served to alienate the core user base
>normies switched because google kept shilling chrome using their search engine

Yet the OP is about Firefox you stupid cunt.

Not enough dilation stations in the office.

IE was good back in the IE4 days
IE6 was where it really started to stagnate

>>broke the old extensions
No one cares
>kept introducing changes that no one asked for and only served to alienate the core user base
No one cares
>was really slow compared to chrome for a long time
>normies switched because google kept shilling chrome using their search engine
The only ones that matter.

>What happened to Firefox?
Chrome is the default on Android, ChromeOS, heavily shilled on the most popular websites in the world (literally billions in free advertising).
Safari is the default on iOS, macOS.
Edge is the default on Windows.
Firefox is the default nowhere relevant, only shitty linux distros that no one uses

Everyone was hyping le google le smart and started using chrome

Same as happened to everything else other than Safari, which survived by being preinstalled on Macs and not being shitty enough to make everyone want to download something else: Chrome happened.

>What happened to Firefox?
triple whammy of:
Bad architectural decisions and tech debt
Not being the default on a big platform
Failing to make inroads on mobile (combination of 1 and 2).
These days, at a technical level, Firefox is fine, and even exceeds competing engines in many tasks, web compatibility isn't even bad, its a fine browser. mozilla needs better marketing

>Firefox is the default nowhere relevant, only shitty linux distros that no one uses
This is in fact why I choose Arch over Fedora
Fedora comes with Firefox by default, where Arch lets you choose what you want without putting a thumb on the scales

it became a worse version of chrome so there was no more reason to use it

>What happened to Firefox?
not the browser advertised on google.com
