far less cucked than windows. at least with macos i can somewhat customize my window manager and setup hotkeys with skhd. Worse than linux but leagues better customizability than windows.

Yes. I'm using yabai which works decently well without having to disable anything. To get instant swapping between spaces and creation/destruction of spaces though you need to disable SIP. All of which is possible and easy to do.
