Intel is the cheapest option right now if you don’t count power consumption.
AMD gives you raw core count, but not on a monolithic die like Intel.
With that said, I preferred AMD in the past as an underdog competitor for Intel. But AMD has taken the crown as the most jewish of the two companies.
If I was building a PC today I would build it around an Intel CPU
