Never fall for Any Forums memes

>fall for window managers meme
>have to configure everything
>the result is mediocre at best and I barely feel the improved workflow
>decide to try xfce because it's light enough
>tfw it just works
>extremely customizable
>all my hotkeys that I had in my window managers just works here
>fast as fuck
>no tearing whatsoever
I'm never falling for Any Forums memes ever again, never in hell I would achieve such comfyness if I spent years ricing my bspwmrc ricers don't work I should've know better.

Yeah. Maybe 20% of serious engineers use linux, and of that maybe 0.1% use WMs. A large number of really smart dudes actually run MacOS.

Not sure what you expected though, given that WMs are perpetuated by underage retards of this caliber:
XFCE is nice but I prefer gnome personally

Interest in xfce is waning!

that's because anyone who isn't a retard is already using it

>have to configure everything
That's the whole point of standalone window managers. What the fuck were you expecting?

all from me

Ok Simon

last stable release was 2 months ago, and it doesn't really need any improvement from now
it's the most user-friendly environment by default

just use pop os, it solves everything

yes. i leaves feces all over other DEs

foot fetish

What makes it user friendly?

feet>animals, you sicko

>no tearing whatsoever
No animation either. Feels like Windows XP.
Thanks but I'm sticking to Plasma.

And the problem with xp is?

Tiling window managers are a really stupid meme that simply doesn't work right for anything but text-based applications. And considering that the latter are not worse in a stacking window manager, there is no reason to use a tiling one.

Standalone stacking window managers are OK, but I don't see a valid reason to use them over a full desktop environment unless you're really really low on resources (and considering that even a fucking Raspberry Pi can run a DE, you know damn well that the "bloat" meme is incredibly overblown).

You learned it the hard way, but at least you finally understood: never, EVER trust anything you read on Any Forums. Ever. There are so many idiots on this board that even Any Forums can considered more trustworthy than Any Forums.

It's proprietary software that is unsupported by its vendor.

Too bad that Wayland will start demanding more and more unnecessary development effort.

i doubt it supports wayland, it says it runs xorg
