Thoughts on the Gigabyte G27Q P?

its a decent budget 1440p/144hz
mind you, make sure you're looking at the g27q, and not the g27qc, note the extra 'c'
the qc is a horrible VA panel, you definitely want to avoid it
also, if the panel is only going to be used for gaming, try to get the m27q instead
its a better gaming panel, but BGR layout so text rendering suffers.

I'm retarded, i meant the M27Q P

I have a spare Ryzen 1600, a case and some other parts lying around that I was thinking of using for a storage server.

Should I build one or just get a Diskless NAS enclosure?

DIY a NAS instead of leaving e-waste to rot and buying a solution

That's what I was leaning towards, I saw a bunch of open box AM4 MOBOs at MicroCenter but they're almost all 550/570.

I just need to know what GPU/RAM/PSU to get without the thing being overkill if it's gonna just be a media server backup.

Based or crinfe?

>mobo
eh, a cheap B450 probably isn't much more than an open box X570/B550
>gpu/ram
whatever's cheap
>psu
10-20% on top of your 1600 + gpu power consumption, get a good brand.

I have some old HP office desktop, elitedesk 800 g1 IIRC and currently it has a 750Ti in it which it came with when I bought it on ebay. Is there any reasonable upgrade I could replace that with? It looks like it's got a 320 watt PS so that's pretty limiting. How much of a difference would something like a 1050 Ti make? Or is there any better card I could use with that weak PS?

What's the CPU? If it's a 7th gen i7 or better then upgrading the card would at least be reasonable. For example a 1660 Super, or 1650 if you only have slot power, wouldn't be bottlenecked too hard. If it's an older chip or a non-HT quad core then up to the 1650 might still make sense but you're going to get stutters and such in modern games. At that point I'd personally save up for a new rig.

>GPU whatever's cheap

Time to trawl craigslist, I should've kept my old 1060 but some dumb cunt bought that for $400.

Thanks, now all I gotta do is figure out which OS will be retard proof for me.

Attached: I will go on.jpg (480x360, 16.55K)

its junk.
a 1050ti really isn't much of an upgrade and its a really old card at this point, expensive too for what it is because nvidia tax.

Ayy Any Forumstards, I've heard that GPUs are hella cheap right now, but I don't really know jack shit about building pcs.
Can anyone recommend me some parts for a solid gaming rig, at a budget of around 1500€? Thanks in advance.

cpu 12400
cpu cooler arctic esports 34 (single fan, not the duo)
mobo b660, any that has the features you need
ram 32gb(2x16) ddr4, 3200mhz cl16
1tb nvme, eg. samsung 970evo plus or WD sn770
gpu 3060ti
psu 650w gold rated , evga/corsair/seasonic
case bequiet 500dx or fractal meshify 2

should be close to your budget
if possible upgrade to 3070
either way, this will be a serviceable 1440p gaming rig for the next few years

It's got an i5 4590, no HT.
Guess it's probably not worth upgrading then, I'll just wait until I have the funds for a new computer.

Holy fuck thank you user, I hope a cute tranny sucks your dick for this

they're not cheap, they're at MSRP but were hyper inflated because they were all being sold to eth miners.

>go through the trouble of dismantling my water loop to do the washer mod
>don’t expect much because it’s such a ridiculous thing
>cpu goes from idling at forty and spiking to 90 whenever a core gets something to do, and going to 100+ and throttle outright for multi core loads despite my undervolt to idling at 30 and spiking to 50 on individual cores, 70 during a multi core load
God damn it Intel.

well cryptoniggers are roping en masse now, so prices are only going to further dicline for a while

GPU estate sales soon fellow gamer.

based, gj on the mod
