It sucks that there's a war and innocent people die. Not only that but the political action and well-being in these regions become impossible.
All I can say is: the Ukrainian territorial and legal sovereignty was broken under Russian influence in 2014, it was rightful for the country to resort to violence, we can't say for sure who is morally wrong in the story, and by default we shouldn't resort to morals. It's not that I don't care, it's just that I have a pragmatic view on the events.

Not always, but there were cases, before the start of the war with the military forces of Ukraine, the border checkpoint was bombed from Ukraine, and Zelensky's statements about the need for nuclear weapons, this was the impetus for action.
Most of all in these 8 years, people in the south-east of Ukraine (Donbas and Luhansk), civilians, women, children and the elderly suffered.

I come from France so I gave a French example. Belgium has a nazi soldier problem too. I'm sure other countries have them, it's typical for neo-nazis to find a job in the army.
What happens with the nazi soldiers (at least in France and Belgium) is they're tolerated by the officers, since they're considered young and under control. It's illegal to wave flags and do nazi salutes, however. Ukraine has this specificity of tolerating highly organised neo-nazi groups because it was threatened by armed militias in Crimea, then Donbas and Lougansk.
Personally, I will always remain pragmatic, because I know all military corps ("corpus" = body) will always have malignant cells, diseases and imperfections. I also know war needs a certain amount of hatred (you can't love your enemy). And then, this conflict isn't the Azov batallion vs. peace-loving Russians, it's about sovereignty and international laws.
It's gross but it could have been worse, with actual endorsement of fascist ideas from any side.

However, what happened in Crimea, Donetsk and Lougansk was illegal though. And in retalitaion to the foreign communist regime, it's normal to see far-right anti-communist groups take action.
