If America is all about defending democracy, why didn't we protect Hong Kong from being taken over by China?

Hong Kong was already part of china. All china did was break the agreement they made with the uk back in 97 but they had been playing fast and loose with that agreement for a long time. It does stick though as I was born in hk and always enjoyed visiting there.

>Defend democracy
>Defraud 2020 election to put a child molesting dementia patient in office
>Historically and currently undermines other democracies to benefit their outcome
>CIA niggers promote continuous overthrow of dictators for decades, causing mass chaos, only to install another dictator
>Defending democracy

if america is so good, why did its last president have secret meetings with putin, and its representatives engage in secret russian meetings? why did they hire manafort who astroturfed ukraine previously to install false president?
also the democrats support gays which is apparently sufficient as to ignore all of this treasonous bullshit from the republicans.

>>Defraud 2020 election to put a child molesting dementia patient in office
odd that the guy with the court case where a girl claimed in detail how he violently raped her at 13 after epstein procured her was the one that lost
strange your accusation reads the other way round

Because they adopted a hate symbol as their mascot so fuck em

>why didn't we protect Hong Kong from being taken over by China?
Because it has always belonged to China.
The British merely rented the land for 100 years and had already signed agreements to transfer it back to China by the 1980s.

We tried, but what did you want the west to do? Hong Kong was never really free. The brits were allowed to have it from China because they were murderous bastards that drugged the population, but the time that was given to them has passed already and thus the deal was to return it to China.
It was never a sovereign british piece of land, it was occupied.

Ukraine was created by Lenin under the orders that any state could freely leave for any reason. It became an independent state after the collapse of the soviet union and thats the way its been.
Imagine what people would say the Italian PM just announced he was about to claim all the territory the roman empire had back because of history reasons.

>Because it has always belonged to China.
Just like Tibet, Xinjiang, and Chinese Taipei.

No.
Unlike Tibet, Xinjiang, and Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong was leased from China by Britain.
China did not take it over, Britain's lease expired.

My only exemptions of obvious hypocrisy is that Id support a Kurdistan, I think Taiwan could very well just be a state to avoid any more wars and that the way the borders in the middle east are now seem to just stir up more and more tensions between all the different clans. We want the arabs to unite but they still cant agree with what religion they should all have. Means they just dont wanna and that should probably be looked at.

Forcefully taking land from one another however is so old and unneccesary.
We need to get rid of capitalism in this form though. The elite are sucking everybody dry, us first worlders can somewhat manage still but the rest are all left to their own. Getting production back over here seems like a food idea for us, but then what will happen to the poor people there that fall back into extreme poverty?
This is a mindboggler.

CCP apologist detected

I am merely quoting your own post back at you.

>We need to get rid of communism in this form though.
FTFY

I don't see any greentext. You typed "Chinese Taipei" instead of Taiwan all on your own, Xi-licker

Anyway, Hong Kong was still leased land and that lease expired as previously agreed upon by China and Britain.
China has of course violated the terms of the handover by dismantling Hong Kong's democracy, but Britain is in no position to do anything about it and America certainly has no business getting involved either way.
