It seems silly to bomb a country for the sole reason of joining NATO, which was created for the sole purpose of keeping a big country from bombing a small country.

Putin is always vocal about the fall of the USSR, he is trying to reinstate it, and he is trying to grab countries part of it. Ukraine, Georgia, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Kazhakstan, Uzbekistan etc.

If he is allowed to grab Ukraine without any problems he will focus on Georgia again like he did back in 2008.

The worse part when he gets round to Poland, Lithuania etc in Eastern Europe, NATO would have to respond as they are NATO allied countries.
