As for your friends, you're what, 22 and you just finished university? You probably won't talk to them in 2 months anyways. You need to think about yourself and your financial situation first and foremost.. Even if you said "GF" i would say the same thing, and those tend to be more lasting than university friends.
Not trying to be mean, but get on a written budget and sort out your situation. Buy some of Dave Ramsey's books for getting out of debt and personal finance, he's really good for building a stable base.
