In my personal opinion, I don’t see it happening at all. The United States and any other country sure as shit doesn’t want to spark a major worldwide conflict. Nobody does. Fuck, not even Putin wants that. I mean, does Putin really want WWIII or just a piece of land? I honestly feel like he’s doing it for the sake of some nationalist pride he still has for the Soviet Union.

I doubt the US gets involved in any way. Putin would have to be taking over other countries, actual allies, before we give a shit. The sanctions are just so we can appease our alliances. Russia would have to do a direct hit to drag us into this. Biden doesn't want war, we just got done with a war that lasted longer than Vietnam. We're just going to keep wagging our fingers at them, unless Russia decides to deliberately bring the US in, which would end badly for everyone. There is always that small chance, but we're nowhere near there yet.

If they manage to successfully capture Ukraine those armies will reassemble and attack the balts.
