Need a new phone

My current phone is a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 its gotten very slow, crashes, and bad screen from over use.
I haven't bought a phone since I got this in 2018 and don't know what's good or what to look for.
Will be mostly using it for work and daily gacha games/reading manga.
Clearly I don't wanna buy the newest most expensive phone and it has to work in america, but any recommendations would help

Phone buying guide in 2022. Anything snapdragon is right out. No av1 decode. Most newer dimensity socs do av1 but dyor. Only the newest exynos socs do av1.

>inb4 i dont care about av1
Trust me. I used to have a phone that didn't do h265 decode and that shit was basically planned obsolescence.

why would you need more than h264
yea that shit is well priced and will last a while

Because the moment youtube switches encoding your phone will fucking explode

What websites require av1 decode

Wait for next year and do a trade-in for an S23 if you want a flagship. Samsung hands out bigger trade-in bonus credits when buying on release.
Allegedly Gen 2 will have av1, so Snapdragons should have a degree of futureproofing next year.

Snapdragon Note20 Ultra. Nothing beats this phone in terms of sustained performance.

Exynos 2100 and 2200, as well as Tensor 1 and 2 all have av1 decoders. Snapshit is a meme, as always.

wait for sales honestly. Every christmas stores around here will give you like 200-300 dollar gift cards and waive activation fees if you get certain phones.

I went from a Note 8 to a Note 10+ 5G jist recently. It's pretty comfy

I don't watch videos on my phone

Porn is videos anom

>daily gatcha games
I don't think you really need that much power for FGO and Azur Lane. Genshin, absolutely.
>Exynos 2100
>S22
Nah.
Samsung A52s if not in North America, A53 or S20 FE if in North America. My advice is still to wait it out for 6 to 7 months and use the Note very lightly.

Galaxy A52 or Moto G100 if you need the headphone jack. S20 FE if not.

im fucking sick of android phones
why the FUCK do they get slower over time?
my moto g7 power now fucking struggles to browse the fucking web even after factory reset

IPhone SE 2022

>4 GB memory

is Samsung Galaxy S21 FE good?

garbage battery, thats pretty much the only con... and its bad.

iPhone SE

Put your phone in a trash can, walk away, and be free.

for me it's the iPhone 13 Pro

honestly a great iphone, this thing will last forever
