Here you go dude, more solarpunk
Oh look retards who do not understand why the genres are named.
The Punk in steampunk or cyberpunk relates to the fact that it is a dystopia even though there where massive advancements in technology, they do not generate a better world, but drive social divide and massive inequalities. With the main characters in such stories usually fighting against these inequalities and corrupt systems.
"Solarpunk" is an utopia about how nice futuristic technology is. It is literally the opposite of this. There is nothing "punk" about it.
This is the result of people just associating a genre with the esthetics, without bothering to learn what it's actually about
look out it's the solarpunk police
How will we get there with niggers overrunning societies?
>Solarpunk" is an utopia about how nice futuristic technology is
Just cause it's pretty doesn't mean it can't be dystopic, there's plenty of societies in sci-fi shows that fit the bill, they just tend to be boring because the clean asthetics.
relax faggot it sounds cool
it's called eco-punk, dumbass. Get your scifi styles right

First for faggots are ugly
I actually had an idea for a setting for the RPG I am making (well, it will never be made because I only put in a few hours a week) that could be considered solar punk, which is a world where pretty much all of the landmass is covered in solar panels high above, except farms, it's always night and cities are where the solar sky is connected to the ground on giant pillars, where the energy is taken from, with the upper parts of the city above the solar sky enjoying the clear sky, no pollution, everything perfect, and the lower cities below, only lit by neon light, in the eternel night.
But such stuff isn't what you get with solar punk, there aren't even any real stories, it's just artwork, nothing more then an esthetic
idgaf what its called. if it has blue skies, lots of plantlife, and it looks clean and inviting, i'm going to put down my capri-sun and say, "that's a nice picture"
NOOOOO YOU'RE ENJOYING SOLARPUNK WRONG, STOP THAT RIGHT NOW
Maybe eliminate the root of the oppressive power hierarchies that hold black people down? Just a thought
how would he feel superior to anybody then
have you thought about how HE feels
But words have meaning. If you hear the word punk you associate it with a dark and gritty esthetic, social unrest, protests, etc.
It's like if you would start a new genre of girly romcoms and call it the "Holoaust of Hearts". Sure no ones stopping you, but the branding is pretty off don't you think?
yoink
thanks for the idea, cya when my games on steam and Im a billionaire
>If you hear the word punk you associate it with a dark and gritty esthetic, social unrest, protests, etc.
actually, i don't think i do. i think you've just heard of 'cyberpunk' and assumed the rest from there
You mean become like black ran countries in africa with black people running them top to bottom?
except nobody mentioned those. weird how you'd just bring them up like that, completely unprompted
Ah but he did when he insinuated if there were no white supremacist power structures holding them down we would have a wakanda-like future.
YOU mean underdeveloped countries that have suffered centuries of oppression and exploitation from European colonization?
>Holoaust of Hearts
sounds like an anime
i don't know why you're still talking at me. is it because i am giving you attention
its actually the next persona game subtitle
I think the "punk" part refers to the anti-authoritarian aspect of the solarpunk genre
Nope, I am old enough to remember the punk scene, you know from which the whole esthetics and ideas where taken
