Why do murderers believe they can outsmart an entire squad of highly trained detectives?

Low intelligence, usually.
Exactly. It’s not like the movies and TV, most murderers are fucking idiots. Smart people find better ways to deal with their problems that doesn’t end with them in jail for life.
there's no such thing as trans those guys are liars
Because the thing about criminals is that most of them are stupid enough to become criminals in the first place. Most nearly every single problem that murderers and thieves have can be solved without murdering or thieving. If they were smart enough to outsmart detectives, they'd have been smart enough to figure out a better solution in the first place.
it's not about necessity, people murder for thrill. That being said, most people murder with someone in mind, but the only kind of murderers that get away with it are people who kill randomly.
If you sat on the side of a highway in California with a 300 winmag rifle and waited for high traffic time, you could definitely get away with it. But if you wanted to murder nigger-bob for fucking your ugly fat wife, well people are going to find out immediately.
The way I do it is by handing out tainted drugs for "free". The lesson here is nothing is free and you will pay with something.
some of them actually got away with it during the 70s and 80s.
True, it's hard to find a person that murders a completely random person because there's almost no suspects or leads to link you to the crime.
But 99% of murders are crimes of passion, or crimes of revenge, where the culprits are obvious, and people who try to hide their tracks to so retardedly and create elaborate alibis that have a thousand holes in them
Some probably still get away with it, they’re the ones you don’t hear about. There are plenty of unsolved cases.
>kills parents to cover up her lying about going to medical school
Kek. What a fucking idiot.
There is no such thing as a unsolved murder case in 2022. No person alive is more intelligent than a combination of experts.
Because the regularly do. If it's random the police are fucked.
Not all murders are caught and innocent people get blamed.
That's not even counting all the abortions people get away with, for now.

Have you poisoned junkies?
Is there a feeling of power hearing they have died?
I promise you there are hundreds of unsolved murder and missing person cases around the world and even in advanced Western countries.
hearing? LOL. I've stood over someone as they seized up, i've been there first hand. Fentanyl is more poison than drug and that's all I will say about that.

keep believing that and my life will continue to be easy.
>Why do murderers believe they can outsmart an entire squad of highly trained detectives?
They are often stupid, and whatever "outmaneuvering" of the detectives they do is usually simply the result of detectives requiring time to get e.g. DNA tests done, samples studied etc.
Also smart murderers may think they can outsmart detectives, because they keep low profile. Frankly - modern investigation methods usually are good enough to find even these people, and even the smart murderers are usualyl oblivious about the methods the police can and would use.
However there is also resources v. urgency at play - not every murder is high profile and is a sign of some serial killer's activity. Murders often are one-off and whoever did it simply hides. So the police does not use all of its arsenal every time.
It's like using nuclear bombs vs small border conflict.
And finally - often it is a game of patterns.
Police and detectives are trained to recognize patterns. Modern investigation has a huge portfolio to draw from (compared to just 50 years ago or more). A very sneaky murderer could elude investigators for a long time, if he does not match any type and manages to hide important footprints, or even better manages to accidentally create clues that lead investigation astray.
So murderers may believe that they can outsmart a whole army simply because there is anecdotal evidence that it is possible. The reality is that unless there are accidental change of circumstances, it is more likely than not that a murderer can be found given enough time.
imho if anyone is under investigation, the best bet is to hide in some uninhibited place or get political asylum. Though even in the later cases, if the criminal profile is high enough, the person could be traced by CIA and other foreign-operating law enforcement.
Otherwise - live in Alaska forests or Brazilian jungle, even if you never get caught, you have isolated yourself from the society and its same as prison.

>it's not about necessity, people murder for thrill
that answers why they kill, not why they think they will not get caught.
Many murderers often express disbelief that they are caught, or sometimes that they were not caught sooner.
So their perception of how they can be caught is usually not well-founded.
Idk..
If I were to kill I would go America phsyco style.
40% of murders go unsolved, and who knows how many wrongful convictions the police do to have a fall guy to look useful. Forensic shows make it appear that people can't get away, but murder is the worst crime and only 60% get caught. Also, those are dumb niggers and not organized threats. The dominant is an unorganized attacker with an attempt to be organized like covering their face but not fingerprints, etc.
