There was some good stuff in the early 2000's, But it was definitely harder to find that good shit in the early 2000's.
If you look back to the 30's, and 40's, there's so much great music from back then. People were more sincere back then. Thanks to the internet, everything is meaningless, content has no value anymore. When people make music these days, it's all about how they look on stage, with their retarded fucking costumes, and lip syncing along with 20 go-go dancers dancing along to some over produced turd that somehow took 13 sound engineers, and producers to make, and it still sounds like a fucking elephant taking a shit in your ear.
