valentine's day used to be awkward for me but now it's just a running joke. There's a guy in the neighborhood that I babysat when he was young (he's an adult now) and he gave me a valentine's day card every year when he was too young to know that wasn't appropriate, and to this day he still does it but as a joke.

That sounds really cute

Date him

It was cute, embarrassing, and awkward all at the same time because I didn't have the heart to tell him that it wasn't appropriate.

He's straight and married to a woman. He told me that he was told to give a card to someone he loved. He didn't understand exactly what that meant.

why is it inappropriate?

it's valentines, you include everyone in the class

Because he was 6 and I was 16. That's why it was inappropriate.
