Everyone in the western world ignore this post. You need something like 2.2 kids per woman to replace yourself. If your country is averaging 1.6 or 1.8, you are losing population and there is no reason to worry about overpopulation.

It's 3rd world countries that are really popping out the kids, and the west has zero obligation to act as a safety valve for them.
