I waited until the last day that I knew I had before they came to pick up to put a mattress out and someone still came in the middle of the night to take it. I am sure they were just helping me throw it away.
still kind of creepy, but when you walk hundreds of miles across the dry desert after tunneling under a chain link fence like bugs bunny to come take away the jobs of all the lawn manicurists you need a good comfortable second-hand mattress

Heck, as long as someone takes the trash away I guess it can't be all that bad really!
I've dabbled with many of those folks who come and pickup all the random thingies and stuff for donation just to get it out of the place and so I don't have to break everything down with a sledgehammer... while it's fun, it can take a while to break up everything so it fits in the trash!
