Shout out to fractal for a really convenient, easy, no-questions-asked warranty experience. Power button on my Meshify 2 Compact was acting up and they shipped out a new one for me within the hour.

I just upgraded from a 3700X to a 5800X. Can I just use the same settings than on my 3700X? Like same IF and such?

Get a 3080 now for below msrp or wait for a 4080 and hope a supply crisis doesn't hit again?

Where's the 75w, low profile RTX card

Please talk me out of building a retro Ryzen APU PC with a built in mechanical keyboard

i can't think of a more effective pussy repellent

the imc/if is better on the 5800x so same setting should work or be better

even if you are playing at 4k the 3080 is a solid card
depending on what you have righ now i would just get one
4080 WILL be scalped and WILL be sold at a premium regardless of supply for at least until after the holidays of 2022

I have a GTX 1080 right now and am thinking about getting the 6750xt reference card from amd directly.
Id for gor the 6800xt but it's at least 400€ over the fromer mentioned.
Would this be a worthy upgrade or should I just get a 6700xt on 50?

True, I'll go for it.

Is it legally fraudulent to use a manufacturers warranty AND one bought off newegg/amazon?

What exactly do you mean? Are you trying to get them to send you two replacements so you get an extra free?

Unless you need it right now, the best times to buy used will be when eth switches over or when they announce the 4000's and people start dumping like they did with the 2080ti. If you do need it right now then at least you'll be using it instead of trying not to get scammed.

i got the 6750xt but personally i wished i went for a nitro+ 6700xt instead for like ~30 bucks more

I just got a new card so no but im wondering if you can do that

I mean 64GB kits with 2x32GB will have dual ranked sticks and have 4 total ranks. Sticks of 16 each in a 32GB 2x16 kit could be either single or dual, so 2x16 could have 2 or 4 total ranks, and 4x16 (from either a 64GB 4x16 kit or two 32GB 2x16 kits used together) will have at least 4 ranks total. Mixing two kits runs the risk of getting different internal chips that aren't guaranteed to reach full clocks together, but it can work. Going above 4 total ranks isn't helpful on consumer motherboards.

I think he's asking if it's possible to not only use the warrenty that a manufacturer gives but also use a 3rd party warrenty that Amazon and Newegg often offer

I guess the idea was to have a "broken" item, make a claim with the 3rd party warrenty and hope they don't actually ask for the item in question and then make a warrenty claim with the manufacturer and send the orginal broken item and now you have two new items.

worth?

>gigabyte
when you're spending that much on a GPU already you might as well get a decent model

>implying prices have any sort of coherence
Dood

Yes, doing that on purpose while hiding what you're doing to get free stuff would be fraudulent. They're supposed to check and stop you, but they don't always bother. If it happened accidentally, then if you didn't lie or hide anything it's not your fault.

So to have guaranteed dual rank you have to either get tight toming B-Dies or more Ram than you could ever need before switching to DDR5. In any case you'll spend over 200 for it.
