gamedev is a really fun hobby, it brings together so many different skills and types of art into a huge experience, i think it's probably the most elaborate form of art out there (but perhaps i'm a bit biased as a gamedev myself LOL)

actually if i had to state one thing that was neat in win8 and up, it was live tiles.. i think they're a REALLY cool design concept, probably taken a bit from the channels from the nintendo wii (those could also show live info like the weather, etc)
their execution in windows is horrible ofc, but you get what i mean
mmm fair, windows 7 struggles a lot with modern hardware, im going to try and see if i can get a modern gpu in it (that shouldn't be too problematic) although it'll be kinda funny to have a 4th gen gpu together with a huge gpu LOL
hardware support is probably one of the main reasons ill need to move to linux at some point, linux has very little driver issues

Wow, you put it to words so nicely... I'm not sure if it's the peak of art, but I enjoy it too. When I create something, I'm mostly motivated by the fact that it doesn't yet exist in the way that I want to consume it, and with videogames this is especially strong.

Well, the game would still be about Dirt for me. In real life, Earth is also just one of the many things that exist. It isn't objectively special. What makes them special is subjectivity, we seek eachother out. If I make a GTA clone where Earth chan has a house and you can take her on a walk, that's already going to be the most fun ever.

Linux is based for some software tbh. Data recovery software are absolute dogshit on windows. And not to mention most of them are scams.
Also don't remind me about commands. My networking runs on shitnux... and whenever I ssh into the os, I have to keep a trusty google search open to remember what I need to do just to navigate, or edit configs.
Or iirc, those wifi password bruteforce apps. God, free wifi during uni was a treat.
