i was born and raised in the US. I live in germany now, nice job, bought a house, raisin kids here and shit.. no one that i know is jealous of the US that i know of.
most of my friends here and my coworkers who ask about the USA are curious about it to some extent, like, "is it true that..." "i've heard that in the US its possible to..." things like this.
but noone wants to leave germany for the us. I mean, fuck, why would you? Here, you never see a medical bill, your college is covered by the state, there's barely any crime, cost of living is affordable, if you get laid off you get 80% of your salary for a whole year while you find a new job, parental leave when you get a kid, you cant get fired as easily and so on and so on... Americans are fuckin' slaves, shitting their pants about getting fired, getting enslaved by credit cards and student loans...
and my favorite: if your kid gets shot in a school shooting because freedom, AND SURVIVES... you are responsible for their health care bills.

Best Healthcare measured how? We have an extremely high concentration of health risks and problems due to the high prevalence of obesity, mental illness, and access to Healthcare is rather low, leading to more problems as people don't get checkups. Insulin prices also are a thing to consider. If we have the best treatments but only the top 1% can get them, is that really the best? Or is second best that everyone gets better?
Best universities measured how? If we have one university that's ranked number 1 in the world but all the rest are awful, is that true the best universities in the world? What's the evidence that we have the best?
What does the best technology mean?
Best GDP? According to what metric, total GDP? GDP per capita? And what about who's actually seeing rhe benefit of that GDP? Are Americans seeing the benefit of New technologies that they don't have access to and aren't getting paid more to create? If wages are shrinking among the working class but increasing among the 0.1%, who cares that their numbers are going up?
Largest economy and best jobs measured how? What are you using to say we have the best of either of those? What statistic says our jobs are the best? What statistic says our economy is large?
Best infrastructure measured how? Isn't the whole point of BBB that we all agree, including Republicans, that our infrastructure isn't up to par?
Best job opportunities measured how? Most open positions? Best opportunities for fresh graduates?
Strongest middle class measured how? Spending power? Size of the middle class? Isn't inflation increasing while the middle class shrinks and wages stagnate?
