If you're a fucked up 16 year old and someone you met on the internet gets you to send them a bunch of illegal pictures of yourself, is that like, grooming? Asking because it happened to me and I thought it was pretty normal for ages but it struck me today that might not be the case

Assuming you are American, age of consent laws vary widely... 16 is legal in a lot of states regardless of the age of the someone else
What about them do you think makes them illegal? What laws are you saying are broken? Were grooming laws even on the books in 2007? Usually they are not retroactive.
