• Why use a PMP instead of a phone?
>better DAC/AMP
>more output power so it can drive higher impedance headphones
>smaller sizes than phones for activities like exercise
>physical buttons
>headphone jacks
>some people can't use smartphone at work/use dumbphones

• How to request advice:
>Budget
>Source (phone or PMPs)
>Location
>Kind (in-ears or earbuds)
>Sound Signature (or genres you like, important!)
>Past gear and your thoughts on them (important!)

does a PMP have any purpose if you already have a smartphone and a dongle?

How do you know what size to get? If I'm normally a large should I get that size?

Very happy with CRA but the eartips are only okay.

No, PMPs below $500 are being phased out across the industry because they are all btfo by dongles

The CHU uses the Aria's filters right? My CHUs left metal filter popped out and got lost. God bless chink QC.

Just look at spec sheet bruh

Any recomendations on etymotic DIY cables?

Yes but I have no point of reference, since I only own random ass eartips at the moment.

You're in the right place. I think you can contact Lunashops and they'll make you whatever you need.

I want Timeless cable with etymotic mmcx connectors. I bought one cable from lunashop but overall quality was shit.

W01 is like 3 bucks

It it true that overall audio quality in iems reaches its peak at ~300$ and all more expensive iems are just sidegrades?

Bros, what iems would you recommend for someone who's pretty treble sensitive?

>Budget
Around 30 bucks or less.
>Source
Phone.
>Location
EU.
>Genre
Electronic music (mostly synthwave) and metal.
>Past gear
Currently I'm using some Sony MDRXB55AP, I quite like them but maybe I can do better at this price range.

I think I drunkenly bought a pair of Nura Loops last night, I saw the purchase went through even though it’s on a Debit Card with less than $100.

I fucking swear Nuraloop used to be the name of a sex toy. This is Mandela effect bullshit.

Dedicated local music storage? My phone can’t hold my music library, nor do I want it to.

>my iems have been in my state in some docking station since the 26th
>no update since
id be less mad if they were still in china

That's a good point and hopefully the current Hiby and Sony options won't be phased out, but I think that part of the market is going to stagnate over time.

No, but the ratio of cost to performance rises exponentially from about $20. What's worse is that there are only a handful of sets at any price point that are legitimately good, but many other things are shilled relentlessly, so it can look like you have more choices than you actually do.
