I did after initially coming for a semester. I only wanted to pass some time on the seaside, I was afraid they will be rude to me and I would be lost without speaking french. To my surprise, from the beginning it felt like I had family here, nicest people I've met.
Nevertheless, I had to learn french, it is nearly impossible to go by without it, they really struggle with english for some reason.
