How the fuck do you properly type on a full-size keyboard? One of my keyboards is 45 cm long and my mouse has like 20 cm of spare space to move. You DO NOT need those fucking tumors, you use layers. A full-size keyboard is horrendous for ergonomics.

If you travel often and bring your own keyboard, 60% is a good form factor. It's de facto standardized and fits nicely in a laptop bag.
However, if portability is not a concern, they are a meme. For a desktop, I wouldn't go for anything smaller than a 75%. Anything smaller is just form over function in that case.
