That's a good episode from him.
What can be observed very well
is that the state with the connection
to the power grid represents a financial ballast.
It's great to see how many watts these solar
cells bring. What does it actually look like with
indirect light? So what if the sky is very cloudy?
you might be surprised how much energy can be made with solar panels even on a cloudy day, its pretty impressive.
The price of that energy is cutting down an entire forest.
This vid makes me wish I had a warehouse nearby for used panels.
i am perplexed that despite 8bit boomer not being afaird of DIY work he went full zoomer with that lithium box considering it's a stationary setup.
I feel you could get much more capacity and serviceability with going with separate solar charger and inverter with whatever batteries you want. (1000wh of lead acid is $~100)
In Australia they passed a law making it illegal for you to hook up enough Solar to power your own home and charge batteries because it was threatening the entire Australian coal-burning energy industry.
You need special licensing and permission to go ''of grid'' in Australia

uhm?
for killing blackout marauders.
This poem sucks
I think he got a good deal on those panels. For only $60 a pop, you could fill an entire roof with them for about $1000. I know that solar panels aren't super efficient, but damn, they seem to be only getting cheaper and cheaper and at some point everybody will be able to afford roofs made entirely out of solar panels and be energy independent. I like where we're heading with solar.

They where used.
They look like 200w panels so $60 was basically 75% off.
Of course the panels are the only one part of it and part of the reason I would guess those panels where so cheap was due to them just being DC panels.
Most newer solar installs use panels with micro inverters which produce 120v AC directly.
he said in the video that it'll take 10 years for his system to "pay for itself", but his setup doesn't seem all that expensive and he can run a window-unit air conditioner 24/7, something that would be really expensive paying from the grid. I don't understand where that "10 year" figure came from. Seems to me that it would pay for itself in a fraction of that time.
it was the libs fault
is that deep cycle? if not it's basically trash. you're suggesting i buy trash.
this guy, in my eyes, is like the epitome of a cucked, whiteoid, mcmansion dwelling, suburban mindset does to a cumskin
